The film Kadhipatta can be described as a beautiful, heartfelt, and wholesome as well as extremely modern love story that is suitable for family viewing, with some reviewers even setting out to call it a must-watch. The movie, a modern couple love story, appears to resonate with audiences of all ages and is considered suitable for a family theatre outing.
Kadhipatta is a romantic drama with a ‘bittersweet love story’ theme that explores a relationship with ups and downs. The story follows a couple’s journey as they navigate their disagreements and unexpected circumstances, discovering hidden truths and the impact of unspoken affection on their connection.
Basically, the film revolves around a feuding couple living together who discover unexpected warmth and a hidden act of love amongst themselves that sets out to transform their relationship, all woven through family life and day to day moments in life.
The biggest highlight of the film is that the story writing and direction turn out to be the strong points of the film, which boast of brilliant performances not only by the leading man Bhushan Patel but also the new actress Ridhi Kumar. Among the veterans Shubhangi Gokhale and Sanjay Mone impress while Akshay Tanksale scores as the intimate friends of Bhushan Patel.
To put it in just a nutshell, all that I can say is that it is a tale of rediscovery, where a couple plagued by constant disagreements is forced back under the same roof. What begins as a tense arrangement slowly gives way to moments of unexpected warmth, as they uncover a hidden truth and a silent act of love that forever changes their bond.
Set against the backdrop of family ties and everyday life, Kadhipatta is a tender story that proves that even the smallest gestures can leave the deepest marks. Kadhipatta is a heartfelt, emotionally rich, and family-friendly love story, with particular praise for the performances of Bhushan and Riddhi Kumar. I would not be exaggerating at all if I were to state that it’s a well-directed movie with a “natural grace” from Riddhi Kumar and a perfect on-screen pairing between the leads. Music by Padmanabh Gaikwad and Ashish Khandal is ear-worthy
Riddhi Kumar who has previously acted in some web series and Tamil and Telugu films, will also be seen in Prabhas’ forthcoming film ‘The Rajasaab’. Apart from this, she has also acted in Prabhas’s earlier film ‘Radhe Shyam’. This is Riddhi Kumar’s first Marathi film.
To sum up, I’d say that the dried leaves do not have a bad smell nor do they lack the expected taste and hence the film is a decent one-time watch.
